Rosarium Hattersheim
open daily
The Rosarium in Hattersheim-Okriftel is far more than just a park – it's the living memory of a city. Roses were once exported from here all over the world; in the 1970s, the fields covered an area equivalent to 75 football fields. As one of the first visitor attractions in the Rhine-Main Regional Park, the Rosarium has been commemorating this proud tradition since 1997.
Today, a sea of over 6,500 roses in 150 thematically arranged varieties unfolds across 1.3 hectares. Besides the exclusive Hattersheim cultivars, such as the pink "Rosarium Hattersheim," the six-and-a-half-meter-high, lushly vine-covered rose pyramid forms the visual centerpiece. Today, the park also serves as a cultural venue: from concerts and readings to specialist courses for rose enthusiasts, the Rosarium offers relaxation and inspiration for all the senses.
