On three floors of the historic bell tower at the Simultankirche in the Langgasse in Bechtolsheim, the development of the medieval, rural street village is visualized by old cadastral plans, photos and showpieces. Special attractions are the complete lists of houses and citizens from the years 1906 and 1938, which serve as a guide through the exhibition and the village. In the exhibition, visitors can get to know Bechtolsheimer families and their houses. Dozens of street scenes of past centuries with hundreds of historical people accompany the visitor through the village during the past 150 years. The exhibits include a Neolithic stone hatchet, medieval architectural elements from the ruins of Peterskirche and the historic tower clockwork, as well as stagings on the Ortsschelle and the historic school.
