Information

The Kunsthalle Jesuitenkirche in Aschaffenburg presents exhibitions of classical modern and contemporary works in the impressive setting of a deconsecrated Baroque church. The church was built between 1619 and 1621 for the Jesuits as a place of worship and study. After suffering severe damage from bombing raids in November 1944, it was acquired by the city of Aschaffenburg in 1976 and converted into an art space. Today, the elaborate stucco elements and high walls of the former church create a unique art experience.
