Expressionism in Green Spaces: The Bruno-Asch-Anlage. Directly in front of Höchst train station, the Bruno-Asch-Anlage welcomes travelers as an architectural gem. It is Frankfurt's only expressionist park and has been a protected historical ensemble since 2003. The centerpiece of the 6,000-square-meter promenade is the "Boulingrin"—two artfully sunken lawns bordered by magnificent avenues of linden trees and colorful perennial borders.

Highlights and History:

• The Seiler Fountain: At the center, the fountain created by sculptor Paul Seiler in the 1920s bubbles forth water. Following a comprehensive renovation of the system, the water now flows again over four cascades into the striking hexagonal basin.

• Commemoration of Bruno Asch: Originally created as a "railway station complex" around 1926, the park has borne the name of the former mayor of Höchst, Bruno Asch (1890–1940), since 1990. The naming honors the Jewish socialist who was forced to emigrate under the Nazi regime.

• Urban Development: The complex forms an important visual axis between the train station and Dalbergplatz. Long-term modernizations aim to further strengthen the historical character of the complex within the framework of the ongoing upgrading of the station area.
