Art, Science and Humanity
Science and art, analysis and creativity – how do they fit together? This connection runs deep: even in ancient Olympus, the goddess Athena united both worlds. Fittingly, TU Darmstadt features Athena in its coat of arms and launched the Art Forum in 2016. Under the direction of Julia Reichelt (M.A.), a vibrant space for interdisciplinary exchange has thus been created.
Housed in the historic drawing room for ornamentation, the Forum now forms an inspiring interface between the university and society. A recent interview with Julia Reichelt in the 2024 Annual Report sheds light on this work. The focus is on outreach: through formats such as the new ‘Wanderatelier’ (since May 2024) or workshops on free painting, art is made accessible here for all generations.
