Information
Organised every two years by the Darmstadt International Music Institute (IMD), the Darmstadt Summer Courses are an international platform for contemporary and experimental forms of music and composition: they are a summer academy, a festival and a forum for discourse all in one, and a meeting place for composers, interpreters, performers, sound artists and researchers. Since 1946, the aim of the Darmstadt Summer Courses has been to bring together strong musical and aesthetic perspectives, to create a space for performances and discourse of the highest standard, a vibrant international network and an inspiring experience for our participants and guests.
