Atelier Goldstein
60596 Frankfurt am Main
Atelier Goldstein is a place for the production of contemporary art in Frankfurt am Main. Founded in 2001, Atelier Goldstein represents artists for whom access to art and its associated institutions is not a given.
A specially developed model of individualized artistic assistance enables the artists to consolidate, further develop, and professionalize their distinctive visual language. The team of Atelier Goldstein consists of artists who work painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, film, and music.
Through sustained and strategic agency work, the artists’ works have been successfully placed in leading national and international museums and collections. Works from Atelier Goldstein have been presented at, among others, documenta fifteen; Lenbachhaus in Munich; Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck in Remagen; Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt; La Maison Rouge in Paris; Museum Folkwang; Schloss Herrenchiemsee (in collaboration with the Pinakothek der Moderne); Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart; and Kunstforum Wien.
Artists from Atelier Goldstein are represented in major public collections, including the Contemporary Art Collection of the Federal Republic of Germany, the collection of the Lenbachhaus Munich, the collection of the Museumslandschaft Hessen Kassel, and the collection of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
Since 2013, Atelier Goldstein has operated its own exhibition space, the Goldstein Gallery. The program includes exhibitions, artist residencies, lectures, workshops, and concerts.
Since 2016, four artists from Atelier Goldstein, together with an assistant, have been active as lecturers within the framework of the Goldstein Academy. They teach in mainstream schools, lead professional development programs, and design seminars for art colleges.
