The exhibition site itself is a special cultural monument: the circular kiln in which the bricks were burned is the only one that has been completely preserved in Rhine-Hesse. The museum, with more than 2,000 exhibits, presents the whole variety of bricks, from simple clinkers to complex interlocking tiles. The museum contains bricks from 4,000 years of history, a particularly extensive Roman collection as well as bricks from the Middle Ages to the present day.
